From Nothing to Something

Gen1; 2 - “The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep”

When God looked at the earth, there was nothing there, and He made something out of it by speaking into it. When we were born again, and came into His kingdom, we were without form, and God took us to make something out of us. Can you see how creating is His thing? Ours is to submit and obey.

Paul was a very studies person, on the road to Damascus, when he was knocked off his horse, he became nothing and God could use him. He was struck blind, but as the Holy Spirit hovered over him, the word of the Lord came to Ananias, from that word of the Lord, Paul was healed. Understand that you need the word of the Lord to take you from a nothing to something. Before Paul had the encounter with The Lord, he thought of himself to be something, but when he became a nothing God took him to a higher place.

See most of the time God cannot take us somewhere because we thing we are something rather than being nothing.

In Gal 6:3 Paul said it wonderfully; "if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself”

I was waiting on the Lord this week and He spoke to me and said "there is a strong root of pride in the midst of My church, which is preventing My Glory to be revealed or displayed, my for runner said that 'I must decrease and He must increase', today when I do a work in my church, rather them decreasing they think they have done it and they increase in their pride. So tell my people that it is a time for a greater level of Humility needed-Die to yourself.”

There is such a struggle these days with every one fighting for Titles; yet we forget Jesus is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Son of David, and the Prince of Peace. Yet when He came into this world He laid aside His heavenly glory and took on the lowly name of Jesus. He demanded no titles. He did not come to be ministered to, but to minister. If we want to serve Him honourably, we must forsake our need for fame and cast our crowns at His feet. When we become nothing, we can bless others, and we don’t need to work hard at defending ourselves, but getting closer to Him, and start trusting in Him.

Friends if you know that you are nothing, Rejoice, because you are miles further than those who think they are something, pride will keep them from receiving the true word of God. Please understand, we need to be an open book to the Holy Spirit. Realize that God wants to shine His light into our hearts. We should be open for all the darkness in us to be exposed, so that we can repent and move on.

Have you ever entered into a dark room? It is dark, and as soon as you put the light on that room become lit, and there is no more darkness. In the same way when the Light of God touches the dark areas of our life, they become light.

See God needs to become the focus of our lives and ministries, and we should be able to say what Paul said. "Whatever things I have gained before men, are a loss compared to all I have gained in Christ." So the sooner we realize that we are nothing, and get rid of all pride, we will be on our path to be Son’s.

Let the words of John the Baptist ring in your ears 'HE MUST INCREASE. BUT I MUST DECREASE'. We must lose all our self confidence, and let God’s confidence live in us.

So lay yourself at the Altar of God and tell God to shine His light on you and let all areas that have darkness, let them become light, so that the nothing you become can be something in God’s hands.
