FELLOWSHIPING

Having born and raised in India, when I was little, I noticed that we were always fellowship, there was always people and relatives at our house or we were going to theirs, But as I came to America, I found it difficult that people never got together unless they had a reason to. After being born again I thought things would be different, Christians would love to get together and fellowship.
I learned quickly that most time people get together if they have a project or something to discuss. I would wonder why people could not get together to fellowship with one another because they love each other.
I was reminded of the scripture in 1John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his son, purifies us from all sin”
When we look at our role model Jesus, we see Him modeling love for the disciples and how they simply hung out together because of their love for one another. Jesus said in John13:34-35” Anew command I give you; that you love one another, as I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another”
Jesus often spend time with His disciples He was never hurried or looking at His clock, we in our society are always very time conscientious, we see that they shared many meals tighter, and it was during these times that they got to know each other at a deeper level.
Let me tell you, Love for one another is one of the greatest signs of faith in Christ, See the pace of life that we are now living is based on events and needs of projects, not rooted in the love or Christ.
Ask yourself a question how many relationships do you have in your life, that allow you to fellowship because you care you one another? Let’s live the light of Christ that is in us with others because we love each other.
